FLAXTON GARDENS

Once again we are proud to partner with Flaxton Gardens who provide us with the natural beauty backdrop for our exhibition. Flaxton Gardens’ generosity extends to providing the Sculpture on the Edge 2024 – Sculptor of the Year Award valued at $10,000 

Flaxton Gardens is an iconic Sunshine Coast Hinterland wedding venue, restaurant and function centre with coastline views stretching from Noosa to Moreton Island. They are everything you have been looking for in hospitality. They can promise you a warm welcome and all that you would expect from a family run establishment.

ILLUME CREATIONS

Illume Creations owned by Shiralee Cooper is a long-time supporter of Sculpture On The Edge and this year sponsors the Sculpture of the Year 2024 – Local Sculptor Award valued at $3,000 .

Illume Creations celebrates the art of colour. The stunning hand blown glass is the work of international artist, Tina Cooper, who resides in Montville and her hot glass team. Handmade glass jewellery from a number of local glass bead and dichroic glass artists as well as Wolfgang Engel’s glass pens are showcased in Illume Creations.  The shop has an amazing backdrop and many more beautiful treasures can be found there.

Illume Creations is open 7 days from 9:30 to 4:30. The shop can be found the top end of Montville – undercover parking is available.

THE OPALCUTTER

The Opal Cutter is once again our sponsor for Sculpture on the Edge 2024 - Upcycle Art Awrd valued at $2,000.

The Opal Cutter has been in the opal trade for over 40 years. Barbara is an opal miner, cutter, polisher and designer of exquisite jewellery, all made in Australia.

Moving to Montville in 2012, Barbara and Edi previously travelled extensively, immensely enjoying their adventures and meeting new artists.  Also showcasing at The Opal Cutter is handmade jewellery and art from Montville, Barcelona, Poland, England and South Africa.  Some opals are unique to the Southern hemisphere, others are sourced from around the world.

The unique pieces showcased at The OpalCutter demonstrate the love that Barbara and Edi share for jewellery, art and culture; you will not be disappointed!

TINA COOPER GLASS GALLERY

Tina Cooper Glass Gallery again sponsors the Sculpture On The Edge 2024 – Sculptor’s Choice Award valued at $1,000.

Tina’s works are incredibly unique.  Recording history through her own perspective, using hot glass, wood and iron as her mediums.  Her pieces have a sense of spirituality, as if the artwork speaks to you – mesmerising her collectors from around the world.

Open 5 days a week 10am-5pm by appointment only (closed Monday and Tuesday).

Tina welcomes both existing and future collectors of fine glass art.

MONTVILLE ART GALLERY

Wayne and Tracey Malkin are passionate supporters of the art community on the Sunshine Coast.  Their gallery showcases world-class original art from over 40 of the regions’ best artists, in the picturesque and historic town of Montville, Queensland, Australia.  

Wayne is an active participant in past Sculpture On The Edge and with Tracey sponsors a Sculpture on the Edge 2024 – Encouragement Award valued at $500 

The Montville Art Gallery is located at 138 Main Street Montville and is open 7 days 10-5pm.

OF COMMERCE

Montville Chamber of Commerce is contributing $500 towards the Sculpture on the Edge 2024 – People’s Choice Award fulfilling their aim to promote economic vitality and sustainability in Montville through creating relevant services and opportunities to deliver business and community growth. Since the 1970s, Montville has been renowned for its art and craft.  By promoting our region as an artisan destination we are embracing our authentic identity.

LOVESTONE COTTAGES

Tamara and Jonathan are once again supporting Sculpture On The Edge by sponsoring the voter’s prize from the People’s Choice Award.  
 
Nestled on an ancient escarpment across five acres of natural rainforest in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, you will find Lovestone Cottages in the heart of Gubbi Gubbi country.
