Are you ready to be part of something truly inspiring and captivating? We seek your valued contribution and invite you to join us as a sponsor and partner for the annual 2023 Sculpture on the Edge, hosted by Arts Connect Inc, a non–profit membership-based organisation run by a team of volunteers.
Sculpture on the Edge is no ordinary competition; it is evolving into an art festival that promises to create a deeply immersive art experience for all attendees. The event will run from Thursday, 23 November to Sunday, 10 December 2023, and we want you to participate in this exciting journey.
Last year, we were hosted by Flaxton Gardens, and it was a huge success! We had 230 entries from around Australia and our first overseas entry, all vying for the $10,000 first prize donated by our host, Flaxton Gardens. This year, we will expand the offering to create a complete program over 18 days, including artists’ talks, live music, workshops,
Evening events, and non-competitive satellite exhibitions. The workshop hosts include Monte Lupo, specialising in workshops for adults, children, and people with disabilities. 2023 is the year of Accessible Tourism, and we aim to be a leader in this field, making our event accessible for as many art lovers as possible. We are planning adaptations for people with visual and hearing impairments and programming some low-sensory afternoons.
For the past 13 years Sculpture on the Edge event has been funded entirelythrough the support of local grants programs and community sponsorship. We are seeking sponsors to assist with materials for the workshops, to build additional paths, including a bridge, to make the front garden more accessible, fly in speakers, workshop hosts and judges and to help fund the event. At this stage, some opportunities remain to host workshops for the 18-day program. Sponsors are promoted through the artist prize call-out (National/International), event advertising and promotion (SE QLD/ N NSW focus), social media, the catalogue, and on-site throughout the event. Sponsors are also invited to the Official opening, and prize sponsors are asked to announce the winners of their category.
