Sculpture is transformative in ways that painting is not... Sculpture takes on such different appearances in different light, time of day and direction. A lot of sculpture can be safely located outside not just kept inside and protected from weather. Sculpture on the Edge as a venue is an opportunity for both. For me the extensive exhibition of small works makes SOTE unique and so much more accessible to everyone.
